John Dickson 12G Boxlock Side by Side Shotgun

Although not the highly sought after round action, this fine boxlock is after all a Dickson….one of the most acclaimed gunmakers of all. This is a very nice example of a late 1960’s gun and retains some of the original case coloring. The wood appears to have been refinished but the gun appears otherwise original and in great condition.

Great and shootable dimensions on this one with a 15″ LOP over a rubber pad and spacer. 28″ barrels and choked L: .005 and R: .015. At a little over 6.5 lbs this would make a handsome and prestigious gun afield!

This firearm is from the Oliver-Brice collection. The principal owned a private investment firm in Switzerland which allowed him to travel extensively in the UK and Europe. His passion was finding and researching high quality/investment grade British and European double shotguns. HIs collection is extensive and includes a number of unique fireams like this one. The owner is also a collector of fine watches and would consider one of those in trade on this gun.
